Stephen Worthington, or Worthy as he is known, has dedicated over 18 years to improving the lives of individuals facing mental health challenges. His career, driven by a deep passion for compassionate care, spans diverse settings, including Accident and Emergency departments, Police Street Triage, Acute Inpatient Hospitals, Mental Health Rehabilitation, Forensic Mental Health, and Community Care and has worked as a Senior Practitioner at Alder Hey CAMHS and the Youth Offending Service.
Currently serving as Hospital Director for Active Pathways in Preston, Worthy is committed to fostering environments that uphold the highest standards of mental health rehabilitation. His leadership focuses on empowering teams and ensuring that each individual receives the care and respect they deserve.
In addition to his role at Active Pathways, Worthy leads clinical operations at WorthMore Mental Health and Well-Being, providing direct support to young people and adults and advocating for improved access to mental health services. His prior experience as Clinical Commissioner for Adult Eating Disorders in the North West enabled him to help shape and enhance care pathways in both the NHS and private sectors.
Worthy also serves as the Welfare Clinical Lead at Shambala Music Festival, collaborating with Kambe Events and Elixir Events to ensure the safety and well-being of festival-goers.
As a Specialist Advisor to the Care Quality Commission (CQC), Worthy’s commitment to governance and service excellence stems from his belief that everyone should have access to safe, effective mental health care. His passion for mentoring the next generation is evident in his roles as a trainer, therapeutic intervention specialist, and visiting lecturer at the University of Chester.

1:1 Sessions with our Nurse or Therapist - We have a number of different modalities of evidence based therapy sessions with qualified practitioners available including CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy and Hypnotherapy.

Direct work with Parents whom struggle to manage their children's behaviours.
This particular intervention is a block of 12 sessions which includes the initial assessment, formulation and individual sessions.
Our qualified Health & Fitness Practitioners will explore all your needs and help you achieve your health goals.
A fitness and well-being assessment will be completed and an individual plan crafted in a person-centred way.
1:1 Sessions for Young People with a WorthMore Support Worker. Support Staff offer activities of daily living skills, community skills and SMART Goal setting all over seen by our Nurse Consultant.
Our Health & Well-Being Practitioners use sound and mindfulness techniques to help manage anxiety.
